Displayingtoanother approaching bird. I,ve even seen them do this to a moorhen chick, and even a large dragonfly.
Not much choice over here for long beeky stuff !! Scraping the barrel- well Iam !
Good to see good numbers of these back in the scrape we dug out for them.

A very nice image. Interesting behaviour, good pose, sharp details in the bird. I might consider cropping to eliminate the OOF spotty lower right corner or cloning out the black spots in that area.

    John:
Looks like he is going to fall over! I believe the comp works pretty well as is, so would rather you clean up the dark spots as mentioned a bit, vs. a crop.

Nice details for this sensor and crop.

    Cheers

That's a really nice image John! I like it lots.
What is near the ULC? There appears to be a large circular blob
with almost fingerprint like pattern. Perhaps I can only see at as I am on my work monitor
and everything appears brighter than at home.

I love the display and would not worry about sanitizing the image too much if it were mine.
    TFS!

Wonderful behavior shot. I am with Akos, nature is not always neat. Warts are just part of nature.

Wonderful action -- sharp and detailed. I'd clone out the flipped symmetry of the added canvas on the right. I know you've said your software does that...

Excellent pose captured, John. I wish it had a catch light in the eye.

    Thanks all.
Akos - If you mean the dark area then I have no idea ! Does look a bit strange now you mention it.
Diane- Forgot to mention -the software I use for the sharpening for the web does put a sliver of mirrored image down the side. I usually crop it out but never saw it on this one.
    Well spotted !
