    Nice image Joe but the bird looks pale and therefore doesn't pop against the similar background.
    I tried to do some enhancement, I hope I did not overdone it.

    Thanks Karl and Will, here is what I came up with for a edit. I lowered the saturation of the green leaves and background and then slightly raised the saturation on the whole image.

    Hi Joe, a different pose for sure, and it works for me. We have a great view of those long toes, and I feel you have the colours throughout the image in your OP spot on.

    I don't know the species so cannot comment on how the colours should really look.
    Like the different view, the pose and the feet. Gosh, they are HUGE!

    I agree with the others...love the "alternative" pose. This photo (and where it was taken) also remind me that I saw my first purple gallinule at Circle B. Nice place, and a great capture!
