    Nice top side view of this gull William. I like the pose and the nice yellow eye. Exposure looks good but I do see a bit of noise in the darks. Sure wish he had some better feather confirmation too but not much you can do about that. Well done.

    Simply a wonderful head and wing position! DOF captures excellent eye sharpness and feather details. Just a few whites lack detail, but overall a fine image!

    Superb angle....classic for a birdwatchers photographic handbook. Noise has crept in and perhaps a less tight crop and going easy on the sharpening will reveal an image with better IQ.
    I carried one 3 miles to a vet once... it survived:) these are huge gulls!

    I'd go for a looser crop too mate!
    Agree about noise and some lacking whites. Not sure what your RAW exposure was.
    Great topside view, classic in fact!

    Hi Will, great dorsal view, and well exposed on the darker feathers. The gull pops nicely from the water BG. Well captured.
