Again, freestyle filtering. Nik Silver Efex Pro for toning and detailing, Topaz Simplify, Topaz Impressions (Da Vinci sketch) gets most of the bg texture.

    Thanks for looking.

Hi, Michael, I like the tight composition and the curves of the leaves and some of the parts of the flower (seed pods?). I like the chiaroscuro lighting and the filtering. (The lighting is nice too) I would probably remove that light leaf in the upper middle top (or tone it down a bit).

Nice earth tones and processing Michael. I don't mind the lighter leaf too much, but would have liked to see all of it. I really like the sketch BG.

I like your choice of three subjects. The sharp spikes and fine wispy threads make for good contrasting elements. I like the way the leaves embrace the pods. Your dark tones say don't graze or tread on me. I am happy to see you are expanding the use of your long lens.

I like how these flowers are being held and protected by the green leaves/flower parts. The angled position of the flowers adds to the sense of protection. The dark presentation works really well. I have no problem with any of the leaves, etc. It is great just as is.

I like how the background texture sets the stage for the pointy spikes of the subject. Nice job with the filters, well seen.

P.S. - I could see other filters doing some cool things to this image!
