    Default IRIS - THEME

As I grow older, I find myself discovering beauty in things past their prime. Due to the unseasonable heat, the irises in our yard are long gone. Topaz Adjust Medium Pop Grunge and a touch of Fractalius was selectively applied to the flowers. The bg is a 2-lil-owls texture.

Beautiful composition, and the grunge treatment is very tastefully done. This is an elegant piece to me, Gary (Isn't it interesting what age will do to our perspective???)

Your only as old as your feel, thanks god I don't feel like these lilies,

I also like the feel of this, the gold, purple and green add a bit of color, and as you can tell from some of my images I am a big fan of the edge treatment. Well done

    Gary,

Greetings. Just beautiful, the yellows against the purple is eye catching. I might tone down the top one a bit (and pull up the saturation on the purple in that one) if it were mine. Thanks for posting.

I really like the luminous quality of the dried flowers, especially the yellow-gold parts. Beautifully processed. Very pleasing composition. Perfect texture. I see what Michael mean about toning down the top one just a bit. I wonder about changing the green at the bottom of the stem to more closely match the colors of the image. Very nice work. Creative.
