    Strong subject matter with a decent flight pose. Exposure work looks pretty solid. Focus is soft and more sharpening won't help....if you shot a burst, I'd check the other images around this one to see if focused locked on more than it did here...

    Norm, this is not your normal standard mate. Did you upload the wrong file?
    This is not sharp at all.

    My apologies to Shawn and Akos, and to other BPN viewers concerned by IQ here. In deciding whether to post this, I was impressed by the feather spread and display of the bird. But I sheepishly admit that that was insufficient justification for this post. Also, in the future my osprey photography will be carried out on firm footing, and not from a small boat bouncing on the chop of a creek! But I do appreciate your comments.

    I can see why you liked the pose and feather display. All the fun in bird photography to get put and try to get a pre-visualized frame - hope you get steadier footing next time
