A delightfully adorned male for this species, photographed recently in the last warm light of the day on some historic hill near the shores of Lake Superior........
Canon7d, Sigma50/500os, iso800, f8, 1/1000, small crop, NR to the bg, USM to the subject and some of the perch using layers.

    Hi Shawn,
I am always happy to see you post. You are so generous with all your ( thoughtful) critiques you give others that it is a pleasure to return the favor.
Lovely species to get an image of. I have yet to see a Canada Warbler in real life!
Wonderful light and BG color. Love the whiskers!
I would take a bit off the RHS as I feel there is a bit too much negative space.
If you are not anti-cloning I could see a version with the little branch between the legs cloned out and the lowest branch on left cloned out. It would tidy up the image nicely but this is not a real issue for me.
The IQ on the bird is lovely- this would have been "killer" if he had posed a bit more parallel to the sensor to get the tail to fall within the DOF.
I do not know what type of tree this is but I wonder if there is a slight magenta cast to it? Easy fix if this is the case.
Lovely shot overall of a "not often seen" warbler on BPN,
    Gail

Nice pose, well exposed. You can still lighten up the overall image in PS as I find it being a little bit on the dark side. (Matter of taste)
The darker areas, (belly, undertail covert, tail) look a little bit noisy.

Pleasing image and what a fun pose on a cool looking bird. Love those whiskers. Comp works well for me.

Nicely done Shawn. Love the pose and HA.
I'd be happy not to tinker with any of the elements in this instance.
    Thanks for sharing.

Wonderful image of this good looking individual. Perch is a great compliment with the interesting orange lichens on it. Extremely well done, Shawn.

Thanks folks. The perch has some issues...but it was not set up. I can see the value of trimming it up a bit. The warbler is pretty large in the frame already for such a small bird...not sure about cropping anymore....What the **** is a "canada wau"? :) Would a moderator please change my drunk title? :)

Excellent image Shawn! I like the pose, details, sharpness whiskers and lichens match the feet really well. A warbler that I have yet to see.
