You've managed to make a very appealing image with a busy BG. Love the calling pose and your comp works well. You have captured huge amounts of details in your bird.

Well done like everything about it. Any chance these birds are around Capetown in Aug?

Cracking shot Richard. Just shows a background can pay off. Grand stuff indeed.

The colour of the background offses the bird nicely.
The only distracting element for me is the couple of needles arcing towards the tip of the bird's beak. A very small detail but one that I keep on looking now I have seen it.

Richard well done getting a clean shot of this bird they have always been skulking in the undergrowth for me, real nice detail and colour of the bird that fits into that natural BG very well, thanks for letting us have a look.

Great shot Richard. Love the colours throughout. The details on the bird and perch are beautiful, I think the BG colours go great with the bird especially the greens. Nice work and well done

Hi Rich, excellent calling pose, and nicely perched in the open too. The colours on the Turaco look great, its sharp, and one of the best images of this species Ive seen.

Good clean shot against the busy background. Very interesting to see this species at home in what appears to be a Casuarina tree? Much preferred the old name Knysa Loerie.
