    Southern Idaho - 1DX, 600mm+1.4xTC, hand held, 1/3200, F7.1, ISO 800, manual exposure

    I purposely cropped it tight. I did this because I wanted to have as much detail as possible on the bird and the bg was uniform. The bg is the Snake River hundreds of feet below the falcon.

    love the dynamic super pose and the dark BG which makes the falcon stand out, wish this frame was mine Jim. I might put a bit more space on top and btm. you can post up to 1000 pixels tall BTW to show more details

    That dark bg just makes the bird pop. More space for me too, I think you'd still get the effect that you want.

    Holy cow! thats a smoking shot Jim. 3 comments, what the %$#@ I think it looks great and I love the light on this beautiful adult. HA, light angle, a sweet pose and that dark blue BG really highlights this falcon well. Very nice. BFAM
