This Duck species used to be one of the most common in Burlington and Toronto area along the Great Lakes a few years back.
Most recently they are hard to find.
    This is from Toronto.
    Thanks for looking.

    Karl:

You Canadians are killing me with the Buffle heads! Lovely little guy, good shooting angle, like the bow wave, catchlight, and colors on head and neck.

The image seems a bit too bright. Might consider running a very low level Multiply blend mode layer to tone down the highlights just a bit. Tried it at about 30% or so, and liked the result.

    Cheers

beautiful capture of the iridescence on its head....has to be just the right light. I like the RP and will have to learn how to do that when needed

    Karl:

I do think that the RP is an improvement. I tend towards slightly darker images, so please take my tastes into account, and go with what pleases you the most.

I like the look back pose, colors on the head, calm water and composition. Repost works for me. Very well done Karl!

A very fine image of this little duck Karl. Light is strong and pleasing. The repost rocks harder than the OP.....suprised there is as much noise in the water as there is from that camera model at the stated ISO...

Nice lighting on this buffie, with gorgeous iridescence. I also like the calm water and bow wave. I actually liked the exposure of the OP -- it's tough to photograph this species without blowing out the head. Maybe somewhere in between the two??
