Very nice shot of this bird in its natural habitat, really makes up for its name do to the perch. Great pose and head angle, nice exposure and soft light.

Nice image I like the composition and processing but I get the impression the subject is a little soft. Not too sure if this is just less than perfect focus or perhaps not fast enough shutter speed?

Hi Will, I'm with Jon on this one - maybe a bit too much of a crop?

Sweet subject thought and lovely pose on the reed - nice composition.

Beautiful bird with a striking facial/head pattern. The pose is really nice! I like how the foot has settled into the soft perch. The large bright area behind the bird is not ideal imo, and wonder if at the time of capture if you could have moved slightly to eliminate it...The subject could benefit from more sharpening...

It is a sweet subject on a very attractive perch. Lots of good warm tones throughout. Well balanced composition. I agree that the oof element in the BG is not ideal, and that the subject appears soft as posted - especially the face.
