Enrique- Looks good to me and I love the vegetation in the background and the graduated higher section. Pity about the ring !! (Purely personal thing- don't agree with it. but its a long story)
Good stuff.
John
Enrique, I find this image to be extremely pleasing. Great bird, light, background, habitat. (I am fine with the perch, nicely weathered, even if man-made). Techs look great. Of course I wish that the band wasn't there.
Nice shot, Enrique. Love the pose and background. Very pleasing image, with the exception of band on the leg.
Lovely image Enrrique, super composition and stunning background. I am a big fan of harriers and this image shows him off very nicely. (I am with John and Karl regarding the band)
Beautiful shot lovely pose and high quality, the ring is inconsequential to me - some birds have them some don't.
Very nice portrait Enrique, you were lucky he let you get close. I don't mind the band and the fact that the perch is a bit weathered makes up for it being man made. If mine I would clone the nails on the perch though
well done TFS

A beautiful image.
I really like the color palette here.
IQ and light are topnotch and even the man made perch is pretty. Comp is spot on to my eye.
My only wish was that the band wasn't there.

Simply gorgeous! I'd be tempted to include just a little more canvas on the right, because the grasses are so pretty. (So is the bird, so they complement rather than compete.)
I love the weathered perch, with perfect color. It's probably not vertical and the bird probably is, but I'd be tempted to see how it looks with a little CW rotation.
The one legged relaxed pose does it for me, excellent image.
Keith.
If you are not apposed to cloning then take out the band and the two screws and you got yourself a killer frame of a male harrier. Not easy to get one sitting like this so well done

This is a stunning image Enrique! Just love the soft light, the beautiful bg and the vegetation included. Excellent details and the perch has more than enough character to not detract. Superb!
Thanks for your comments and suggestions. Yes, I was lucky to find such a cooperative bird given its reputation for being skittish. Too bad the light was in and out.
The perch and the band for me reflect contact with humans. This bird inhabits an area with direct and heavy human influence and it itself has had direct contact with humans to get banded... so, perfect? no! but it tells a story.
Lovely portrait in good light and habitat. I don't mind the band and I'm OK with the perch too. Loi
I like the pastel grays and the contrasting yellow eye and tarsi
IQ and BG very good and I dont mind the band that much. Agree with Arash on the nails but thats personal choice I suppose
