    I was at a local lake, this Limpkin landed and began to run across the Lotus leaves. A unusual behavior for this heavy bird. Normally this bird is found wading is shallow water searching for Apple Snails bring them to dry land to eat. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

    Cropped for composition, a couple misplaced Lotus stems removed

    Interesting image Joseph, cool bird and I really like the action captured. However, this one does not really work for me as I find the BG a bit distracting and the wing position is not ideal. It would also be cool to capture the feet. That said, these are really difficult images to capture and you did well to get the shot regardless. (And these things are always subjective :)). Thanks for sharing

    Joe I like this bird dancing across the Lily pads, the head does looks little soft on my monitor but could be these old eyes of mine, nice shot regardless.
