Nice composition here, the topmost bird provides a good focal point. Lovely the way that the sea has been smoothed out by the long exposure. If it were mine I might try cropping out the patch of blue sky at top left as I find this a bit distracting. Great detail in the rocks.

    Hi Dan

I like this very much. I particularly like the water crashing over the rocks left hand side of the island and the horizontal striping in the water. Good detail in the rocks. I can see a alternative crop with a lot of the cloud removed but its OK for me as it is... Where do you hire the tame birds from..??

A great shot with just enough time to not over do it! Amazing that the birds sat still for that long - sometimes they're so difficult and other times they're just perfect subjects! I love the wet look of the rocks too and the greenery add just that something extra - nice shot!

Love the motion blur and the peek at the horizon. Nicely composed.

Wonderful image Dan just the right shutter speed and the detail and tone of the rocks are really nice.

Very nice work Dan and perfect shutter speed for waves crashing into the rock island on the left side of the comp!

I love this kind of shot when done well and this one is no exception. Well done. I agree that a little off the top of the sky may make the sky less distracting, but that is being picky.

I've recently acquired a 10 stop filter from Stealth Gear and plan to get to the coast soon but fear I mat over do the motion blur.
