Default On the road to sunset

This is the last one from Serra da Estrela here in Portugal, it reflects the end of a fantastic afternoon there wits lots of peace, silence and nature.

    Comments and critiques are appreciated!

This is quite beautiful Luis...and I love the composition with the road leading into the sun, the wispy cloud and the nicely detailed foreground... Did you take any a few minutes later with the sun more behind the cloud..? I guessing you did, and they probably look even better.

I had a second look and played in PS for a couple of minutes. I think a little more contrast in the sky works a little better for me..

    A lovely composition here Luis!
The lighting on the foreground rocks is ever so sweet. I am fine with the brightness around the sun - did you get any with a starburst as well (f22 perhaps)?
Good suggestion for the sky by Don. Overall you processing here is very pleasing though!

Hi Luis, you have framed this scene nicely and I like the foreground boulders too. I do agree with Don on the sky...I would love to see some like that if you have some.

This is a beautiful scene Luis. I like the processing, but I would have tried to hide the road on the right side of the frame with the bigger rock so that the road starts a little more in the middle of the frame. The road being the brightest part of the right side of the frame keeps pulling my eye over there instead of into the mountains it winds into.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. Don, i don`t remeber if i have any after the sun went down, but i liked the ideia of giving a bit more contrast to the sky.

Morkel, i usually don`t stop down to f22..but the startbust it`s a good idea, maybe i will try it one of these days!

Yes you could still shoot at f8 or f11 to minimise diffraction, but get one exposure at f22 for the starburst...
