I seldom achieve high key images, but in this, I quite liked the white on white. Taken early morning over the weekend.

very nice shot, love the colors and expression. Just for reference (trying to compare to my 300 and x2tc), what % or crop it at all is this image?

Thanks Dvir. This isnt much of a crop. All I did was come in from the URC to place the Egret in the top third of the comp.

    Thank you Chris.

Great moment. Like: the frame includes the landing target, the details of the bird, opened beak and color of the head. Would like to see BG as blue sky. TFS.

    Cheers,

I like it, the simple composition works well. The bird appears similar to a Cattle Egret here in Florida. With the white background my eyes keep going from the bird to the plant. I think when possible you should do more of these Stuart.

Great detail on the Egret. Really like the way the landing spot balances the position of the bird. Looks terrific!

Good one Stuart. Just the right exposure/lighting to bring out the contrasting detail. Love the open bill too that adds some personality to the shot- makes it look like landing was a bit of an effort.

Good job, Stu. Perfect work on the exposure - manual mode important to get consistent results with this sort of image. The inclusion of the foliage/landing zone needed with this pose and works well.

The exposure and details look great Stuart and I love the splash of color from the head of the Egret and the green of the tree. Well done.

Nicely exposed. Love the high-key look with a splash of color. If you have any more perch, I'd be tempted to include a little more.
