Through my volunteering efforts with the National Park Service, I have had many doors opened to me. I was asked to do another exhibition of my bird photography and this time I am using the photographs as interpretive tools to discuss the relevance of birds in the culture of some of our native peoples here in southern California. While I am always delighted to show my work, these opportunities are special in that they allow me to tie the images into something more than photography itself. If you are local to the Los Angeles area, please stop by and check out the exhibit, which runs through the end of March.

Way to go, Kerry! I like the tie-in between the birds and native peoples. And I love the title

I should have said more relevant.

So cool! Congrats. So many retire and don't know what to do. You've found a work to love and a way to use your talents to further that love. So happy for you...and for those who an enjoy the exhibit and learn from it.
