This past Remembrance Day turned out to be one I will never forget. My first ever up close look at a Long Tailed Duck. These sea ducks are rarely ever seen in close to shore or in a pond for that matter so this was a rare opportunity for me.
Taken in Kelligrews, Newfoundland
Nikon D7100, 500mmVRF4 plus 1.4x Tele, 700mm, ISO400, F7.1, 1/1250s
Very minimal editing was done. Slight crop for composition, slight sharpening, added contrast and cleaned up the eye from unwanted highlights
Check out my latest blog post to see more images of this beautiful bird and the other species I photographed that day.
