I love portraits and decided that this encounter with this female last year warranted a closer look. This is from the same same sequence that I posted of her standing on a coot.
She's the one that uses the drowning technique to kill the coots. This is shot about 10 minuets before sunset in our beautiful and intense sunlight. Hope you like her.

Thanks as always for looking and for your input. I appreciate it.

Hi David, nice to see you do static too.

Nice portrait and the warm, plain BKG sets off the subject well, no distracting elements or colours.

Actually it is a bigger crop than the 50% I stated, more like 70%.. Here is the copy that I composed from, and it was cropped a bit, for a look at how far this was cropped, and it still preserved pretty nice detail. Good lighting has allot to do with this.

    Thanks again

David I well remember the shot with the Coot, who wouldn't? It's amazing how you have kept the detail in the portrait.

Hi David, I like how you have cropped this, just enough of everything. Excellent detail throughout, sharp, and against that smooth BG. Great work.

I'm late to the party, but what a lovely portrait. I see what you and Arash said in the Equipment post that if you get the Raw files sharp, you can crop a lot and be better off than a cropped sensor like the 7D2 as long as you don't print big. This is a great example. TFS. Loi
