Nice comp, detail perch and a dreamy BG. Wish for more light on the face, either fill flash, shooting angle or post lightening will do it.

Very nice. Great looking bird with a unique pose on a cool looking perch with nice techs and a killer BG. What's not to like. Well done

Great pose, and the perch works for me even though it's the same size as the bird. A slight head turn towards you would have helped pick up a bit of extra light on the face and given us a better head angle.

I like this lots more than I thought I would! Pretty neat yawning and crouching pose. Good perch and BG. I agree with head angle relative to light angle comment, but all else is good to me.

Hi Ben, well exposed, sharp, and great that you captured the yawn. Killer BG.
