A real frame filler, great quality showing the feathering of the bird beautifully, looks like it will jump out of the screen.

We get a al nice sense of how wide the body is relative to the head. I love the angelic wing positions and feather separation within them too. A few more highlights in the water than I would normally prefer, but unavoidable and they do not affect the overall effect of the image.

Great look, and a unique one, of this Wigeon. He'd make a good linebacker. Nicely done to get good focus on a head-on shot like this, with good DOF and sharpness for the speed and aperture settings. (Head and eyes might use just a tiny additional bit of selective sharpening.) A keeper for sure!

Great timing and well done exposure! Like this landing pose and all details on the bird. Great light. TFS!

love the incoming pose with symmetrical wing position and the small water drops on the chest. tack sharp. my suggestion is to try to recover more details in the tail where the blacks are blocked.

Nice to see you getting some waterfowl shots again Dan. This one has a pretty cool head on perspective and I really like the detail in the wings. The techs look good and I like the hanging feet. I agree that the highlights aren't optimal but nice overall. Well done Dan
