    Default NEBRASKA CORN THEME

While passing through Nebraska this week, the corn elevator caught my eye. The yellow against the blue sky was appealing. I am not sure if this qualifies as a graphic image. Poster edge was applied.

I like the simplicity of the image Gary. The poster edges are most evident in the corn spraying down. I like that the hopper or whatever you call it is off-center. The yellow and blue work well together.

Good eye! The yellow and blue work very well together. I imagine Poster Edges helped to define the flow of the kernels, and that adds to the appeal of the image. Your perspective was a good one. The elevator to the left and the apex of the pile of corn to the right gives a good composition and separates the falling kernels from the support of the elevator. (P.S. -- I was interrupted while working on this comment and didn't see what Jackie had written until I'd submitted it.)

I'd suggest considering a small change. The combination, yellow, blue, and red, makes a triad in color harmony. Exchanging the orange of the rust for red would yield the triad and likely contribute to the graphic quality of an already very good image.

REDO with Dennis's suggestion of turning the rust to red.

Nice work both work for me but the added red improves an already nice composition. You were lucky to see this, when I drove through Nebraska, all I saw was Corn and Cows...

It amazes me how a simple change like that took the image up a notch. Colour is a study in itself. Good suggestion Dennis.

I love the simple graphic composition here! Great idea about bringing out the reds.
