    Well woodie's back, my hope is to get a shot of him as he is about to land, a bit easier said than done but fingers crossed. I quite liked to see his tongue flicked out, I must admit I didn't see it when I took it but in high speed continuous shooting mode it was caught.

    Very nice image. The bird is perfectly sharp and in focus. If it was mines I would try and take a bit from the top and maybe from the left to avoid having the image been too squared. The bird seems to be just a bit too low in the frame IMO.

    Like it a lot but cutting the top BG in half would really kick it up a notch.

    I like the pose, perch, BG, IQ and spear like tongue. I agree with tighter composition suggestions. Very well done Jonathan.

    What a gorgeous woodpecker!! Love the details on the bird and the light quality ain't too shabby either! I also agree with trying the suggestions made to make the composition more concise.
