I was going back through some older images and found this one from last spring that I never posted (or at least I hope I didn't -- I try to put them in a folder after posting.)
Canon 5D3, 600mm II, ISO 1600, f/5.6, 1/2000 sec. Tripod, Wimberley II. It was only about half an hour after sunrise but the light was already harsh. Some of the feathers were too hot to bring down and I should clone there, I guess. Basic LR adjustments, then into PS to remove some of the sticks protruding from the nest on the right and shorten the stick being carried, which exited the frame ungraciously. Also removed some subtle dark haloing, probably from Clarity.
Hi Diane, that piece of 'nesting material' is large enough to build himself a log cabin. Great view of the near wing, and wish the other wing was more prominent. I really like how we can see through the tail feathers.
