Another from Brigantine last Friday morning, showing the dorsal view with the lovely cinnamon plumage. This juvie is a different individual from the one in my previous post. This one decided to get his own fish instead of harassing the Common Tern.

Nice BG, and I like the "looking down" for prey pose. Is\deally thew near wing would have been aven lower for a more elongated "banking" pose, but this is fine as is too. Looks to be a tad ark overall perhaps?

Yes, Daniel, I also wished for slightly more of the near wing showing. And now that you mention it, it does seem a little dark. Here's a repost with 7 points of brightness added to bring the white rump up to around 230. Thanks.

Hi Bill this works nice . I like the pose and the overall colors/contrast . Pleasing BGK rounding this up.
RP works better in brightness , but i would go even a tad brighter .

Hi Bill, I like this view showing off the full top of the wingspan, and the tern is popping nicely against the two tone BG. Your repost has turned out well. Well captured.

Like this image a lot, Bill. I do like the levels you brought up in the repost. Also like the detail achieved and the small trailing drops of water from a previous dive. Very nice BG too.

This is "deja vu all over again!"
Your pose is slightly different than Geoffreys'. Both images seem a bit dark to me and before I viewed your image I suggested that Geoffrey go brighter!
i like the repost and I would go a bit brighter but mask out the rump so it doesn't get blown out.
    The eye looks good.
I do agree with your self critique about the near wing but I would still be thrilled to have this in my files,
    Gail

Really love the "curious" look down pose. Excellent details too. Great shot!

Thanks everyone. I hadn't realized quite how dark it was until I pushed the Brightness slider way to the right and saw the improvement. Here's a second repost.
