From JBWR early Thursday morning under cloudy-bright conditions. This cute youngster is sporting fresh juvenal plumage, I believe. I cropped loosely, wanting to retain some of the nice water ripple, and accent his diminutive nature. C&C appreciated as always.
Although I've never been to Jamaica Bay I can almost always tell when an image was taken there from the colour of the water. That water looks silky smooth too, and very clean. Good pose, reflection quality is just OK but an important part of the composition so I like it. Although I like it as is, a version cropped a bit tighter would also likely work well.
Nice one Bill. Great shades of brown. Strange how so many waders are a very similar colour. Quite few passing through here now so there should be a few wader pics popping up !
Cheers
John
Very sweet, small in frame works to show his small size vs. big environment. Yes, as Dan stated, a tighter crop would show more detail. Mainly depends on what story you are trying to tell.
