After seeing a pair of males a couple of weeks ago fly close but not landing, a few days later while headed for my car as the sun was just creeping behind the tree line at a local grassland, this male shows up with dinner, and some red berry stains on lower beak. C&C welcome.

Nice perch, pose and background. I would, however, put the bird much higher in the frame if possible.

    Geoffrey:

Interesting perch, and his being on the front keeps it from being overpowering.

I agree about the vertical choice, but might try a version with him a bit higher in the frame.

The IQ may be suffering a bit from the crop/ high ISO.

    Cheers

    Randy

Visually lovely and I like the vertical comp as well. I would rather see the bird in the upper 1/3 or lower 1/3 of the frame. Lovely BG and perch.

Beautiful image of oriole on nice perch. You have options to play around with composition.

Thanks Everyone, and I agree Randy and Marina with your suggestions re moving the bird up or down in the frame.
