    Hi Gail

I love the warm light and the fact that the image is so detailed you can see the drops of water clinging to and falling from the bird.. Nothing to suggest other than I think the wing tips may be a bit close to the top but you could easily talk me out of that thought..

    regards

Hi Gail, Love the action you have captured here with the bird running across the water to get airborne and just the right amount of wing-tip blur. Beautiful light, POV, composition and background colour pallet. All looks good to me. Regards, Ian.

Excellent shooting angle, great light and details. I like the composition, the bursting water and water droplets and wing position, Gail.

Love the light, POV, and action. Can't think of anything to add to what others have said. Lovely shot.

Brilliant action shot Gail! Love the sense of movement, the splash behind him and the intense look in his eye. Well done!

Hi Gail, lovely low shooting angle, and a great take off pose with the raised wings. I do like the light and warm colours, and overall, sharp where it counts.

Cant get much better of a take off shot than this one. Perfectly sharp head and tons of action behind it. The two step water splash and the bent tail look great and the eye contact is totally captivating.
Great light and shooting angle too. Did you and Grace shoot this duck together?

Sweet take off shot, and that light is as good as it gets.

FYI, my only shots of a LTD taking off are from Nome, Alaska, 2013.

Looks like you caught the very last step on the take off. Nicely done.
