    Greater Kestrel - Falco rupicoloides

I came across this beautiful kestrel while on an early morning game drive across the Dune Road from Urikaruus to Nossop in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. The dune and sky background is one of my favourites of the trip.

Hopefully this particular frame has a better HA than the last one? I also changed the crop a little bit based on comments from my previous post.
    Look forward to any comments

That's a beautiful frame Richard. I like the crisp clean detail in the feathers and the head. The preening pose looks great and I like the fact that there is a catch light in the eye. The beautiful BG and the nice comp you chose sets this one off nicely. Well done

I think this image has even more going for it than the last one, and the last one was pretty dang nice. I really dig the pose...looks vulture like....same great light quality, exposure work, and image design.

Hi Rich, You know where Ive seen this , and it looks even better here. Once again, lovely light, and overall nice and sharp. I do like the two tone BG.

I like the pale pastel colours of the BG. Neat perch and twigs, do wish some of the shadows on them were not as dark though. Fun to see the feather tip in the bill.
