Stunning capture Tim. Love the details and the light is beautiful. It is always a great temptation to show off the feather detail but in this case I think it would look even better is the bird was a bit smaller in the frame with more room at the top and right if you have it. Well done! Regards, Ian.

    Love this one.
The light and the color palette and the low POV are beautiful.

Hi Tim, excellent low perspective here, and just love the light and colours. If this were mine, I would maybe take a bit off the bottom.

    Tim:

As mentioned, the bird is great! As is the light, soft background, shooting angle.

I would fiddle with various framing options, but would try to move him a bit out of the dead center.

    A real beauty.

    Cheers

Awesome light, great low angle, nice details. I really like the blue in the small ripples in front of the merganser. I would have loved more room right and top as per Ian.

Love the golden water and the shade of green in the bg top of the frame. Lovely low shooting angle and exposure. I like it as presented. Nice work as always Tim.

Anybody who photographs waterfowl will drool a little at the water color and light quality you were blessed with here. Just an all around gorgeous low angle image of this species, and I dig that the tail is up!
