Avian Wet warbler or fake kingfisher :)

I prepared the perch near the water. It was hot time. The birds took off in water directly. The perch was used for drying only. I failed. However, the below photo reminds me on kingfisher. For sure this is not contribution to the Birds' Art Photography .

    5DIII, 600II IS L, tripod, f/7.1, 1/800, ISO400, natural light,
    setup: perch,
location: Adriatic see, The Island of Brac.

I personally like the bedraggled, wet look ( as you may have noticed in my spectacled eider shot!)
Great IQ. Love the clear view of the feet
I feel this image needs more room on the RHS and less on the LHS with a bit off the top.

Poor guy is soaking wet. Nice pose and eye contact.

Really like this shot, bedraggled and wet makes it interesting and different, agree a bit more to the right showing some more of that nice bg would be a bonus.

Thanks to everyone! I agree and changed the crop. By the way I forget to mention PP: selective microcontrast, decreased the brightness of perch, BG blur.

    Cheers!
