I have been past this bay many times on the way to Merritt Island NWR, never have I seen the light better and the water more calm. Image captured at Parrish Park, Titusville, Florida.

Really nice image. I like the wider angle and all the canvas included for your subject. Nice subject placement in the frame. I see a dust sensor spot near the left edge of the frame over half way up....The water is nicely colored and has great movement.

I really like the painterly feel to the water texture. Nice placement of the subject, and it has a good quality reflection. I'd be tempted in darkening the heron a bit, and I do wish its body and head were not angled slightly away from us. Neat frame though, very artistic.

I like the comp and the pinks and blues in the water.
I feel like this could use a bit of punch by increasing the saturation and adding a couple of points of blacks to the neutrals in selective coloring.

I really like where you are going with this image, Joe. I think the brightness on the bird is right b/c the light is hitting it and their feathers can be quite bright. Love your choice in comp. It works b/c of the lovely, painterly water.
