I've been working on a Barn Owl project locally recently and this image represents some of my recent captures. These have to be one of my favourite birds and amazing to see on the wing. Hope you enjoy this image and comments always welcomed.

5dmk iii, 700mm, f5.6, ISO4000, 1/2000ss - processed in capture one and PS CC. Some noise reduction on background, levels and USM

What a lovely image of such a stunning owl! Killer BG and just the right wing position. Your comp is strong, and that one eye is riveting. Details looks great.

Totally awesome. Love the emergent white owl coming from the darker background. So much color contrast used effectively. Size of subject in the frame is spot on. Exposure, focus, sharpness, details on the owl are all spot on.

Exceptionally beautiful and successful image Simon. Love how this gorgeous bird stands out against the dark bg. Nice sharp details and pose. Great work!
