nice capture Jonathan, sharp with good detail, like the running pose, the color of the bird goes with the color of the water, wish the head was more towards us but I suppose it has to look were it is going, well done.

First time I have ever seen this Heron. It is almost like a mix version of a Little Blue Heron with the feet of a Snowy Egret :)

Nice capture Jonathan. Beautiful image of a bird I have not seen before. I agree on possibly adding more space for it to run into, but still nice as it is.

Hi Jon, excellent exposure on the heron, and I do like the running pose - was he after a fish looking at that concentrated stare ahead. Im fine with the placement, as you are showing off the trailing wake.

I like the running pose, trailing water and water drops. I would like to see a version with more space in front of the Heron. Very well done Jonathan!

Great timing with the running pose and the trailing water. I've never seen one of these photographed in Britain before, was this taken abroad?

Nice running pose, and I like the "Snowy Egret-like" golden slippers. Good wing positions, especially the far one. Although perhaps an illusion, I feel that a bit of CCW rotation could be good here.

Thanks very much everyone the image was captured in The Gambia. The image rotation - well your guess is as good as mine, I grabbed the image as soon as I saw the action, the original is about 45 degrees to this one!
