    Perfect pose and comp. I'm seeing a dark halo on the bg near the breast.

    Classic woodpecker pose and nice detail. I'm not crazy about the BG color, but overall a nice frame.

    Nice view of the leg and foot here. Great perch, and I like the BG. The eye of the subject seems a bit odd, don't know why...perhaps darkening the iris a tad or "rounding off" the pupil which looks a tad oval?

    I could not resist. I expanded the pupil a tad at bottom via clone tool and darkened the iris via burn tool. Subtle tweak but big impact as the eye is the first thing we tend to look at.

    Thanks Alan....I saw the halo too but it seemed to "appear" after I posted the image....maybe when I downsized with the bicubic sharpener?
