Default Hawk ID Help - Thailand

This hawk was shot on March 5, 2014 in Plaeng Yao, Chachoengsao, Thailand

Its arrival spooked the two Kingfishers I was shooting in a small pond. Using my Photographic Guide to the Birds of Thailand as well as Google I am still not sure what kind of hawk this is. My best guess based on the book would be a Japanese Sparrowhawk although most pictures show it with a darker head.

I apologize for the branches and lack of clear shot as he was perched in some dense woods and twice went to the pond to drink, in areas covered by branches.

I would hazard a guess of Shikra but I would suggest you post it to http://www.birdforum.net/ in their identification forum. Very many capable birders there.
