Hi Frank, It's a wonderful shot! Beautiful light, color, detail and BG. The head back/chest out, wing position, reflection and water droplets are all a bonus.

Great pose captured, Frank. Excellent IQ and the bird really pops against the dark background.

You knocked this one out of the park, Frank. Killer pose, light and low angle. The falling droplets add icing on top.
The rich, dark fg/bg is exceptionally good as well. I could see this working well with a tighter crop too.
    A big winner!

There is so much to like here, he stands out so well from the background. Nice open wings and reflection.

Fantastic Frank. I don't think I have ever seen a Grebe with its wings up and certainly not to be able to get an image. Was it taking off or displaying?
can't fault the perfect images either.

Frank! Just awesome. The water coming from the wing tips takes it over the top for me. Everything else is top notch.

Excellent all around. I love the grebe's whites against the dark background. The only thing I would do is eliminate the small black dot (which looks like a piece of debris) on the near wing.
