    This is a lovely preening pose, Dan, esp against that gorgeous green water. I think your image could benefit from some CW rotation. If you follow the white on the bird's rump down, you'll notice it doesn't match its reflection. I think I'd like to see less space on the right and more on the left (if you have it) since the drake's head is facing left. In this position, he looks a tad cramped to me. With a couple of tweaks, this is going to make a fine image.

    Nice one Dan, the details look nice, the noise treatment in the original post is not done in the repost , the rotation does work nicely
    i really like the fact that you could expose that eye this well.

    What a beautiful drake Wigeon and you did well capturing him. Love the pose and the nice feather detail in this. The water and BG color highlight the duck very well. Nice one Dan

    The RP looks much better to me, Dan. It doesn't even need to be that tight, but I like this crop much better. You might sharpen the duck a little more.
