    Nice composition. Was this image underexposed quite a bit, and then lightened in post? regards~Bill

    Ian think I can see what Bill is getting at think I can see a bit of noise on the bird but could be these eyes of mine.

    To answer the question, no it looked pretty good on the histogram, but I do see some noise.

    Strengths of the image include a sweet habitat to capture the "water pipit" in, excellent subject pose, good light quality, strong shooting angle (and just the perfect shooting angle to avoid the head merging with the background mud...nice work there). Please post the full frame image. This "feels" like a mega crop to me and that may be a possible explanation for the IQ issue being raised in the previous feedback.

    Lovely pose, I like the composition and it looks very sharp. I'm wondering if there is leeway in the raw file to darken the water a bit and/or lighten the bird, while retaining its very nice contrast? Not something I'd say is a criticism, but just wondering how it would compare.
