    Default Straight-billed Woodcreeper

    Taken on a
    6D, 300mm F4 at 1/320, ƒ/5.6, ISO 1000

cropped, reduced saturation on the greens, bumped orange slightly, smart sharpen on the bird and parts of tree, noise reduction on BG. a part of trunk edited out on the lower left. then exported to size and low output sharpening in lightroom.

Very nice! Looks like great sharpness and detail on the bird. I might darken the head or at least beak a little, but I don't know the bird's appearance.

I might think about some crop from the left -- not a lot happening over there.

Fantastic to see a wood creeper Kester! On my calibrated display the image looks too bright and a little over-saturated. There's lots (maybe too much) mid-tone contrast as well. The repost tries to address these issues but keep in mind that all this should be done on the original raw image, not on a resampled jpeg. Also tried to incorporate the crop Diane suggested.

Thanks. I think that's my major problem right now as i'm working with a very old/cheap monitor.
I'll apply those edits to my raw and compare.

Hi Kester, the repost certainly looks better but I still think the image lacks detail in the head and the bill and the moss on the trunk does look a tad over green, looks like a super looking bird and I do like the pose.
