    Northern Gannet

    Well I've been lurking around here for quite some time and wanted to congratulate all those who started and work on this site. Pretty amazing photography around here!

    Here's one from a few years ago that remains a favorite. It's a Northern Gannet from Bonaventure Island, Quebec. Canon 1DII, 70-200mm F2.8 @ 70mm. ISO 250 F9 1/1000s. Image is full frame.

    Wow, great shot. I like the composition of one large subject and many smaller ones in the BG. Any complaint is really a complement in that the color and sharpness make this photo almost look like a pen and ink drawing.

    And shot at 70MM. This is a great positive to your Bonaventure Island IPT. No really long glass needed apparently!!
