Location of the serial number on the 500 II lens

Dear all,
where is the serial number mentioned on the new 500 II super tele lens? It does not seem to be there on the lens mount.

Hi Sanjeev,

Directly below the distance limiter switch there is a small thin elongated metal plaque with rounded ends. The number is engraved on there. It should also be located on your invoice if bought from a reliable dealer...

Thank you Dan, I found it. It was concealed under the lens coat! I am headed for Masai Mara in Aug 1st week, wanted to insure my lenses and camera bodies..........
