    Default Another Whitethroat

Here's another image from my Whitethroat set. This time addressing some comments from my previous posting in terms of eye contact. This was taken in the late evening light and really improves the image. In hindsight I perhaps should have bumped the f stop up to f8 to get a greater DOF, but I went for the lower ISO and higher shutter speed that f5.6 gave me. As always, comments really appreciated.

Interesting perch with nice light and BG.

Did not see previous post but the head is turned a bit more than I would prefer in this one.

Nice light, nice perch. Love the gold background, wish it was uniform throughout the image.

I like the shot very much, a very recognisable pose, the bird contrasts well with the background and the perch is interesting too. The DOF may be just a tad short but it is not far out - a very pleasing image - a very natural looking situation.

Much better head angle than the other image. All you needed to do here is point your lens down a bit more to get the subject higher in the frame. Sweet BG!! Techs and processing look good, Simon.

Thanks Daniel. I have actually cropped a bit off the bottom as it had some green leaves which I felt spoilt the image. Thanks

Sweet image! I love the background and am glad it is not uniform. The sky portion of the bg
in the upper left corner makes a great visual exit point. I can see the issue regarding subject
feeling to low in the frame....
