FYI for those in the SE Fla area, at Brian Piccolo Park (Sheridan Street Just East of Flamingo), at least 9 active burrowing owl nests ....

they're all over the park and are marked. can't miss them.

I was there on Tuesday and the owls are very cooperative. However, got some strange looks from the workers. Maybe because I was crawling around getting eye-to-eye. It was nice to come in out of the swamps for a while.
