    Default IS 1 or 2 and 3 mode

    hello, i have the AF function set on the rear button of my camera ;

    When i read the manual "Mode 1 IS" and mode 2 is the IS always on when i press the shutter button halfway .

    Mode 3 is only working when i fully press the shutter button

    But how the different mode's work when i AF trough the rear button i am confused ?

    yes, if you have configured AF-ON as focus it has the same effect as half-pressing the shutter as far as IS is concerned.

    ok, thank you, but when i focus and let go of the AF-on button to stop AF and take the picture , does the stabilizer stop or is the schutter button still active to start IS .??

    IS remains active as long as shutter is half-pressed.

    ok, but then i have to press the schutter button always halfway because otherwise there will be a moment that the IS is not active when i let go the AF on button ......

    solution ? : So i will place the AF back on the schutter button and the AF -on button only to stop the AF . (CFn 4-1 instead of cfn4- 2)
