Sorry for my absence over the last few months , work has been a little pre occupying I have been out a few evening to capture some new images and this one hot off the sensor from this past Friday evening. It seemed like the overcast dull clouds would not lead to much. About 10 minutes before sunset the sun exploded through the lifting clouds on the horizon. I was blessed with 15 minutes of the most intense natural colour light I have seen in months. Slight crop on bottom , basic processing in Lightroom 4 (desaturated slightly due to the intense pinks and purples) Sharpened in CS 5 and saved at 80.

    Canon 5 D MK 3 , 16 35 Mk II , 16 mm Focal length , ISO 400 F 8 and 8 sec with Lee Soft Grad 0.9 . Reged Tripod and Ballhead with remote release

Hi Andrew - fantastic pastel colors, it was worth the wait. The slow ss worked well and so did the ND filter. Well done

    TFS,
    Rachel

    Hi Andrew,
Wonderful pastel pink sunset together with lovely movement captured in your image. I like the fact that the image is centered on the water channel,
    TFS and best wishes,
    Mark.

    This is magic, mate. Crack-a-lacking!
Perhaps a slight lightening of the deep shadows in the rocks?

Well composed with the FG water rush out through the center of the image towards the sunset.

8 seconds normally a good choice to create a silky water flow w/o losing some detail.

Love the colors, the blurred water, and the basic image design. I'd love to see it with more on the bottom (before the crop???) as it is a bit too close to 50-50 for me. Love the seaweed on the rocks too.
