    What was the BG?
    Great color and thought the perch is large, it is pretty cool and suits the bird well.
    Nice look at this common backyard bird.

    This is a very nice perch with lots of character and the red background is perfect for this bird.

    Thanks for the comments Dan and Laurie. The background is an OOF Japanese Maple that is still hanging onto its leaves despite the cold wet weather.

    Wow I wish our house sparrow was such an attractive bird Jim..!! This is a beautiful composition, very sharp, good HA and complimentry BG. I also like the weatherd timber that you have chosen for the perch.

    Love the background and the perch, Jim. The bird looks very nice, sharp and having great details.

    The background and subject go so well together here!
    One of the best images I've seen of this subject.
