Default The latest in fall accessories - Trumpeter with leaf

This trumpeter was imaged last weekend. I saw the leaf on its breast and waited until it gave me a good head angle for the sun direction.

Post: leveled, selective sharpening. Was shot as vertical, so after leveling, no extra room on sides.

    Advice and comments appreciated.

    Cheers

    Randy

A nicely decorated swan Randy! - at least you can't be accused of planting the leaf..!! I like the swans pose here and you've kept detail in the whites.

The light direction as it comes from the side, brings out niced fetaher details and lits up the head nicely. The leaf adds interest, Randy. I should find one soon as we usually have about 200 overwintering in the Bay.

    That leaf pendant is awesome!
Other than the overall composition feeling too cramped, this is a very sweet
image, mostly because of how unique those leaves are coupled with the
nice light quality and sharply rendered details on the bird.

Ha, this is great! I can try to find one with a maple leaf to make a canadian version (perhaps on a Canada Goose). I like the image alot, very neat.

Hi Randy, you certainly used the opportunity here, and also well done on waiting for the angled pose too. Whites look good, and love the exposure on the beak.

Nice head angle, exposure and detail. The leaf kind of reminds me of Adam and Eve!
