This Eastern Screecn Owl (Rufous Morph) was photographed at Withlacoochee State Forest as the sun was setting. The cavity was quite high. I believe this to be a female b/c two weeks later one of her fuzzy chicks popped out and roosted in the same place. What a treat this was for me since I had never seen or photographed a Screech Owl. Besides this great subject, I love the intricacies of this particular nest cavity.
