    Default Eurasian Nuthatch

I observed this Nuthatch in bad weather.

Stunning Frank, I think the light in this is wonderful despite bad weather, and an amazing degree of fine detail captured. Liking very much the pose too, very alert. My only thought was the darker blotch on the upper left catches me eye a little

Great job on the repost, Frank. I really like this, looks like you've caught him at that split second before take off. Super sharpness and IQ.

Lovely image. Nice light and terrific alert pose, very nuthatch-like -- resemblance to our Red-breasted which continues to elude me. Well captured.

Hi Frank, I like the alert pose, leaning forward, and you have brought out good sharp detail. I like the two tone colours on him, and repost takes it up a notch.

Nice image Frank. A touch more DOF or moving your shooting angle might have helped get more DOF to the perch.

Nice pose and amazing detail, Frank. If it moves like our Red-breasted Nuthatch, then it must have been hard to have him pose for you for a second like this.

    Frank:

Well captured under challenging lighting conditions. I think you juggled ISO, SS and DOF pretty well here. If the bird sat still for a while, you could have tinkered with different settings, but I suspect he was in and out like our nuthatches.

    Cheers

Nice soft light, nice to see them on a small perch instead of the usual trunk.

A nice sharp capture of the Nuthatch Frank against the soft BG, and agree the repost enhances the composition.

Excellent image Frank. I like the sharpness, details, light, pose and BG. Repost is an improvement.
